Additional wellbeing support for employees as part of the Group Protection offering by our network partner Legal and General

Later life care is often something that people never plan for - it hits families at a time of crisis – and it is only when elder care for a loved one needs to be considered, that the realization sets in of just how confusing and complex the system can be.

L & G introduced Care Concierge, a service to help reduce stress, ease financial pressure and save precious time when employees and their families are confronted with the topic. The guidance package service allows employees to speak directly to a care expert about later life care needs for a loved one and is available for free to all employees of L & G’s Group Protection customers. In case that additional assistance is required, employees will be able to pay for further support to meet their needs.

Benefits include:

• A 30-minute telephone consultation with a care expert
• Support and an understanding of what type of care is needed, as well as how to arrange it
• Guidance on typical care costs and the available options towards paying for care
• An e-mail summarizing everything discussed, tailored care guides, and a list of relevant services

A lot has to be considered when looking for care and research has shown that 50% of employees take time off work due to an elderly care need for a loved one. This service helps that employees get the support they need, whether someone isn’t sure where to start, needs help to understand what type of care is needed, or is worried about the cost of care.
