Mihail Stati appointed Technical Employee Benefits Expert

Mihail Stati is joining Allianz Global Benefits as Technical Employee Benefits Expert. In this role he will be part of the new team of technical employee experts responsible for the areas of technical pricing, underwriting, proposition development and technical onboarding of network partners. Based in Stuttgart, Mihail will report to the future Head of the new technical team that is being built, and temporarily to Michael Scheu, Head of Products and Solutions (in transition). Before joining Allianz Global Benefits, Mihail was Employee Benefits and Credit Life Manager at MetLife Russia where he was responsible for employee benefits underwriting, products, reinsurance and operations. He joins us with many years of experience in different operational and underwriting roles in local and global employee benefits, having worked in the Gulf region for MetLife and for the International Health and CEE business division at Allianz from 1999 to 2004. Mihail holds a degree in Engineering from the Kishinev Polytechnic Institute and completed the LOMA Fellowship Program.

Mingdong Du appointed Global Data Manager

Mingdong Du is joining Allianz Global Benefits as Global Data Manager. In this role he will be responsible for the collection, analysis and quality of data from our network insurers. Based in Munich, he will report to Steffen Gehring, Head of Finance & Data. He brings international working and studying experience through previous internships and project work at start-ups, Richemont and McKinsey in several countries, and most recently as an intern for the Finance & Data team at Allianz Global Benefits. Mingdong holds a Bachelor in Management (BSc) degree from ESCP Business School and recently completed the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate.

Pietro Dalla Vedova appointed Account Manager

Pietro Dalla Vedova has been appointed Account Manager at Allianz Global Benefits (AGB). He will be responsible for relationship management and service delivery of employee benefit programs for multinational clients and consultants as well as supporting the Regional Sales Directors in business development activities. Based in London he reports to Melanie Breyer, Head of Account Management. Pietro joined AGB in January 2021 as CRM Administration Manager where he was responsible for the update and maintenance of the company’s Customer Relationship Management system to ensure a high standard level and support the Account Management team in their engagement with the international network insurers. Prior to this he gained experience as an intern for Account Management at AGB and as a Junior Officer at the Italian Embassy in London. He holds a master degree in Management from the IE Business School and a bachelor degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Warwick.

Carina Iulia Micu appointed Head of IT & Digital Solutions

Carina Iulia Micu is joining Allianz Global Benefits as Head of IT & Digital Solutions. In this role she will be driving the design, integration and implementation of Allianz Global Benefits’ business development opportunities. Based in Munich, Carina will report to Michael Scheu, Head of Operations. Before joining Allianz Global Benefits, Carina was the technical product owner in BI Application Development at Allianz Technology, where she was responsible for the agile implementation of multiple reporting solutions across various Group entities. Carina joins us with over 14 years of experience in technical product ownership for insurance solutions and data visualization, CRM , data integration and BI consultancy in the financial sector. She holds a bachelor degree in Computer Science.

Conor Powell appointed Business Intelligence Manager

Conor Powell is re-joining Allianz Global Benefits as Business Intelligence Manager. In this role he will be responsible for the coordination of operations related to our Business Intelligence platforms in order to ensure smooth and consistent reporting to our clients. Based in London, Conor will report to Steffen Gehring, Head of Finance & Data. In 2019 Conor completed a one-year internship with our Finance & Data team in Stuttgart where he was able to collect valuable experience for his new position. Conor holds a Bachelor's degree in History and German from the University of Nottingham.

Amelie Lefeber appointed Executive Assistant to CEO

Amelie Lefeber is joining our team as Executive Assistant to Dirk Hellmuth, CEO of Allianz Global Benefits. Based in Munich, she is responsible for steering key initiatives on behalf of the CEO and providing strategic support to the executive team. Before joining Allianz Global Benefits she has been working as Portfolio Governance Consultant at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty. During this time she completed the one-year-long Global Accelerator Program, a joint and cross-border upskilling initiative within Allianz Group, which consisted of rotations in projects focusing on productivity, agile working environment, and customer satisfaction. Amelie is a Certified Business Economist (IWW) and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fashion from Media Design College Munich, as well as an MBA from the University of Augsburg.

Shrirang Bhate appointed Tech Lead

Shrirang Bhate is joining Allianz Global Benefits as Tech Lead. In this role he is responsible for the ongoing development of our digital tools used to ensure a high quality data exchange, mainly the Allianz Global Benefits Data Warehouse, acting as the Tech Lead to our developers. Based in Munich, Shrirang will report to Lucija Tomsic, Head of Digital Solutions & Projects. Before joining Allianz Global Benefits, he gained plenty of software engineering experience as a Software Developer and Tech Lead throughout the years. At his most recent job he was the technical owner of an IoT (Internet of Things) device management platforms’ device and third-party integration layers, initiating the efforts to modernize the tech stack and architecture, improving the engineering practices and collaborating with stakeholders like sales and customers. Shrirang holds a M.Sc. Computer Science Degree from the University of Mumbai.

Sara Leanda Mormer appointed Global Data Manager

Sara Leanda Mormer is joining Allianz Global Benefits as Global Data Manager. In this role she will be responsible for the collection, analysis and storage of data from our network insurers, as well as both defining and translating global business requirements into data requirements as needed for the related IT infrastructure. Based in Stuttgart, Sara will report to Steffen Gehring, Head of Finance & Data. Before joining Allianz Global Benefits, she has gained valuable experiences in data diagnostic, statistical data modelling as well as applied data research in several work-student roles at Mercedes-Benz/Daimler in Quality Management and Integrity & Sustainability. Sara holds a Psychology Degree from Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen.

Kirsten Osberg appointed Global Data Manager

Kirsten Osberg is joining Allianz Global Benefits as Global Data Manager. In this role she will be responsible for the collection, analysis and storage of data from our network insurers, as well as both defining and translating global business requirements into data requirements as needed for the related IT infrastructure. Based in Stuttgart, she will report to Steffen Gehring, Head of Finance & Data. Kirsten brings global insurance experience through previous underwriting roles with the RSA Insurance Group, as well as employee benefits expertise through several roles at Mercer in Canada and London, and most recently as a Senior Benefits Specialist at Delivery Hero SE in Berlin. She holds a Masters in Global Business from the University of Victoria in Canada, the National Sun Yat-Sen University in Taiwan, and Johannes Kepler University in Austria.

Mariana Ishchuk appointed Head of Strategy and Network Management

Mariana Ishchuk has been appointed Head of Strategy and Network Management of Allianz Global Benefits (AGB). Her responsibilities include the strategic steering of AGB, especially with regards to the further development of our global employee benefits platform that enables a flexible and holistic set of risk management program solutions for our corporate clients. Additionally she will be responsible for the management of the strategic and operational relationship with network insurers. Based in Munich, she will report to Dirk Hellmuth, CEO of AGB. Mariana joined AGB as Head of Strategy Execution in October 2020. Before this she has been in several positions since joining Allianz SE in early 2017, most recently working on strategic topics for the Life business segment of Allianz Group as an Executive Assistant to Günther Thallinger, Member of the Board of Management at Allianz SE. Mariana comes with vast experience in employee benefits, having spent many years at MetLife in Ukraine in underwriting and account management areas before joining Allianz. Mariana holds a Master’s degree in Finance from Kyiv National Economics University and an MBA from St. Mary's University, San Antonio, USA.

Maria Stoica appointed Tender Manager

Ms. Maria Stoica is joining Allianz Global Benefits as Tender Manager. In this role she will be coordinating the tendering of our global employee benefit programs. Based in Munich, she will report to Daniel Clark, Head of Tender Management. Before joining Allianz Global Benefits, she worked as a Sales Project Manager at Wirecard Global Sales – Financial Institutions & FinTech, where she acted as an intermediary between Sales, Account Management and internal stakeholders for project planning & implementation. Maria has over 14 years of experience in business development, project management and practical knowledge in the financial services industry, mostly in the life insurance industry in Romania. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages and Literature.

Frank Forster appointed Managing Director & Chief Transformation Officer

Frank Forster has been appointed as Managing Director & Chief Transformation Officer of Allianz Global Benefits (AGB). Based in Munich, his responsibility will include introducing new digital offerings to meet the growing demand of multinational corporate clients while implementing AGB’s holistic business model, organized as an employee benefits platform, to simplify and digitize the business. Frank brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services and in driving change and digitization. He joined Allianz in 2011 after coming back home to Munich from Silicon Valley. He’s held a number of management roles within Allianz Group. His most recent as Head of Business Development for Allianz Direct.
